Affiliations Manager
Affiliations create shortcuts between individual and organization records. They allow you to jump quickly between the two affiliated records, and show you a list of affiliated entities at a glance.
The affiliations, often similar to job titles, are controlled in the Affiliations Manager. Here, you can create new affiliations, or modify existing ones.
For example, let’s say John Smith is in your database because your committee is hiring him. John works at a print shop called ”Print Works,” and is the main contact for the print shop. Because your committee will be working very closely with John, you would like list him as the Contact Person for Print Works. However, when you go to add the affiliation, you do not see ”Contact Person” listed as an affiliation choice
No problem! The affiliations drop-down menu you use in records is customizable. All you have to do is create a new ”Contact Person” affiliation in the Affiliations Manager, and then you can go back and link John with the organizations and you can use the affiliation for other individuals and organizations.
Creating New Affiliations
Go to Management > Affiliations
Switch from View Mode to Edit Mode by dropping down the menu in the upper left-hand corner and clicking on Edit Mode.
Click Add Affiliation.
Enter the name of the affiliation you would like to create.
Drop down Max Uses, and select the maximum number of times this affiliation can be used within a single record. Using our example, we might want to select Unlimited, because John is the Contact Person for multiple organizations, so we would not want to limit our affiliation to being used only one time in his record.
Click Add.
Once the Affiliation has successfully added, click Close.

Modifying Existing Affiliations
Go to Management > Affiliations
Switch from View Mode to Edit Mode by dropping down the menu in the upper left-hand corner and clicking on Edit Mode.
You may modify the Affiliation Name and the Max Uses on any of the affiliations you created. The affiliations that come by default in the system cannot be changed.
When you are done, click Save Changes.
Deleting Affiliations
Go to Management > Affiliations
Switch from View Mode to Edit Mode by dropping down the menu in the upper left-hand corner and clicking on Edit Mode.
Click the delete button
to remove an affiliation from your database.
