System Options

System Options are the options available for your database. This would allow you to change Mailing Names from Traditional to Modern, include an Mailing address option for the records, to turn on Pledge Tracking, change your color scheme for your computer, just to name a few. This will explain what options are available to you.

How to Get to System Options - Go to System and Select Options.

Display Options:

Display Options are specific to the User’s own computer. What changes that are made in this box will not affect the whole database or other user’s display setting.

You have four options here:

·         Color Scheme: Allows user to change Color Scheme to either Surf Green or Classic Blue. (pictures shown are in Surf Green)

·         Hide Product Name: Allows user to hide the Capitol Icon and Product Name located in the top left hand side of the screen.  If this is hidden, you will no longer have the option of returning to the Main Menu page.

·         Sort Reporting Codes by Code: Helps the user sort the reporting codes alphabetically

·         User List Display Style:  Allows user to have 4 different options in viewing the user name.  This is a great tool since sometimes other users have the same initials requiring that the full name be listed.

Mailing Options:

Provides 2 options for Mailing addresses and Couple Name Styles.  This will affect the whole database when options are select.

·         Use Mailing Address:  Allows users to select the option to include mailing address in addition to the primary address that is on a database record

·         Default Couple Mailname Style:  Allows users to select either Traditional or Modern.

            E.g. Traditional Mailname style: Mr. and Mrs. John Smith

            E.g. Modern Mailname style:     John and Betty Smith

Other Options:

These are four optional items that users can select for the database.  Anything changed here will affect the entire database.

·         Don’t show PO Box warnings for FPPC reports:  FPPC reports usually like a physical addresses rather than a PO Box address. When this information appears on the FPPC reports and warning comes up advising you of this.  If you would like to have those warnings remove, check here.

·         Use Pledge Tracking:  If interested in Pledge Tracking for your database, check here. This would allow users to record pledges on the records, generate reports, and mark when the pledge has been fulfilled.

·         Default Import Option:  This will affect import settings in the database.

·         Enable Phone Fields Auto-Tab: This will affect phone settings in the database
