Try a few of things:
Did you click Add to Query after you built your query in custom reports? If there is nothing in the Query Details area, you have not added anything to your query. Click on Add to Query after building each piece of your query.
Did you select an Export Method? If your export method is Type: General and Format: None, you have not selected an export method. Try selecting an export method before clicking Submit Query.
